ICT in Government 2017

BMI-TechKnowledge conducts an annual study covering the big government ICT spenders, sizing and trends analysis for the South African national, provincial and local government. The study focuses on the government departments that have big ICT budgets and includes spending trends and big deals which are significantly impacting the socio-economic and political environment in the country, and also analyses the influence of policy shifts and recent procurement initiatives. The South Africa government’s total national and provincial ICT spend is budgeted to be around R16.0 bn in 2017/2018, according to BMIT’s recent ICT in National and Provincial Government 2017 report, and grow at a CAGR of 3% to R17.1 bn by 2019/20.
